Is Hot Potatoes an App?✨

Hot Potatoes one of an education application for teacher to make some types of quizzes in order to enhance the students' understanding about the lesson. This app include six types of quizzes named JClose, JQuiz, JMatch, JCross, JMix, and The Masher. It is a free application and can be downloaded on Google easily (just type Hot Potatoes app and you will find it, easy right?). However, the minus about this app are we can only save it as the html (save only in our document) so that we cannot share it to other and also it is too old application for my opinion. Let me give you an additional information about the 6 types of Hot Potatoes😊

1. JQuiz

From the picture above, you can manage your quiz by using this type of Hot Potatoes. You can use multiple-choice questions, short answers, hybrid, and also multi-select. I only use the multiple-choice questions for my JQuiz.

2. JCross

Like the name above, it is actually a crossword game. You can use your creativity for the quiz and you can manage many of across and down questions. Moreover, you can also give them a hint/clue for the answers to make it easy for students if they cannot answer it.

3. JMatch

You can set the left questions and students have to match it based of the right answers. Here I made the verb 2 of some verbs. As you can see, It can make students interest more for learning the lesson.

4. JCloze

JCloze is like the "Fill in the blank" questions. I made about past tense and simple present tense in hope that students can play the game also learn from it.

5. JMix

It is like the sort stories game from disordered sentences. I used The Red Riding Hood story and here is the display..

6. The Masher

The Masher allows us to put all of the types of Hot Potatoes to make it as a review for the students. This is very beneficial for me as a teacher. Therefore, we don't need to make it manually.

For the further examples I have put all of my Hot Potatoes in this Google Drive
